Not too long ago, a friend accused me of having an illicit love affair. An affair that is so strong that every time I get close to it, I lose my senses. Pure ecstasy fills my mind and soul and I just can't get enough of it. Nothing matters when I am around it. It makes me do things I would never dream of doing . It brings heaps of joy and happiness into my life. Yes, it is a strong connection. How can it not be, for if it was any less, it would be shameful and regretful. Its simple -- I admit it -- I have an on-going illicit affair with the snow!
Here are some of the pictures I took with my hand-held pocket camera on a recent trip to Snowbird Utah. Canon 50D with the L lens would have taken better quality shots but lugging that brick up the slopes just did not seem that smart, especially, given that I am a klutz to begin with. Why break my bones and the camera? Perhaps, these pictures show the viewer one of two things: A photographers skills and/or the quality of the equipment being used. One cannot rely on a uber-awesome equipments to produce amazing pictures-- though having good equipment does help tremendously (that is, if you know how to use it). Yes, gentleman, that applies to you as well. *wink*
