What makes a person photogenic? Is it the natural beauty that simply exudes or is it an innate character or is it a learned task? I find it fascinating to capture the faces of people as it says a lot about their state of mind/presence. Some are confident and bold and do not hesitate to look straight into the camera but most are shy when it comes to being photographed. Kids in particular are brave and welcome the challenge. Perhaps its their innocence. They have nothing to hide and it shows -- be it sadness or happiness. Adults, well, we are trained and conditioned to mask our thoughts. But I have learned that despite of the facade, one can see through all that if you pay close attention to the face. Each curve, crack, and nook on the face gives me an answer. The trick is to catch those moments without the subject noticing it. Of course, there are ethics to be followed. I am not going to be one of those annoying/pesky paparazzi! I'd like to think that the moments are captured without offending the subject. Here are some of the faces that caught my attention! I added a single word that summarized what the picture captured.
