Bundle of Joy

July 7, 2010, a bundle of joy was born into the Lankford family. So delicate and fragile she looks and its hard not to smile when you see the various faces that she poses. Bella Sophia remained incredibly calm throughout the improv photo shoot, but that's probably because the parents had just fed her. Simplicity at its peak -- feed and clean her and she is one happy camper.

All these pictures were taken with my hand-held Canon Power shot SD 1200 IS. I wish I had my monstrous professional camera. Next time. Watch out Lankfords, Bella has an aunt who is going to stalk her with her camera in hand!

Bird is the word

For John, his companion is "Big Bird". A macaw, once held in captivity, is now his best friend. Free from his cage, big bird remains close to John, a sign of loyalty and trust. As a sore reminder of his past, big bird plucks his feathers, a habit he picked up during his captivity. One cannot avoid the sight of his bald breast but his vibrant feathers leaves you gaping in awe. For Big Bird, John is his companion.
