When I am scrambling through my picture folders to find something to post for the month, I call it desperation and/or just not having had time to go out and shoot new pictures. Lame excuse either ways!
If one has followed my picture blogging, you might see a trend in my style of pictures. I tend to take pictures close-up and try to capture the details of life that seem to go unnoticed many a times. Details can reveal the raw truth -- some may embrace it with others evade it. I tend to embrace it.
My challenges in taking macro shots with the canon macro lens is that, I need a tripod to capture the depth of field (using the Av/Aperture mode). While I enjoy the focus on a particular spot (amd the blurry spots), I'd like to take crisp pictures of the whole subject matter. All the pictures I take are with my so called steady hand but as you can see, I can't take a clear picture with a steady hand AND expect a large depth of field. So how do I capture a dynamic macro moment? Lets face it, the dragon fly is not going to pose for me for hours. So what should I do? Any thoughts?
