Sequoia

It is my opinion that nature is at its best when humans don't trample on it. Unfortunately, famous national parks such as Sequoia swarms with Homo Sapiens (amongst other animals). Every creature, including us, are trying to savor what nature has to offer. I have come to realize that if you truly want to get the "Full Monty" experience of nature, one has to backpack into the wilderness. No trespassers (except you), no technology, no flush able toilets, no connection with the outside world -- What can be better than that ? [maybe smores ...]

Pictures were taking with Canon Digital Rebel Xti. I used 3 kinds of lens namely, macro, 28mm/regular , and zoom lens to take the various pictures. Thanks to Tom Yip and his uber sexy professional lens (which, btw, titillated my senses and made me salivate for hours), I was able to capture the full moon shot among the Sequoia trees at night. And I learned that a professional lens/camera does make a huge difference in the quality of picture (of course the user has to be proficient!)

Faces at the Beach

To most people, Labor day (Sep 7, 2009) represents the end of Summer and the start of Fall. To people living in San Diego, the concept of seasons is obsolete. While most people are pulling out their winter clothing to prepare to bundle themselves up, we San Diegeans, strip ourselves to the bare minimum and let the sun bake us in the 85F weather. Ah yes, now I know (and reminded) of why I live in the "finest city". Check out the various faces I managed to capture on this fine day at the La Jolla Shores beach, California.
Pictures taken with Canon Digital Rebel Xti body and 28mm lens. Here are my top 10 pictures out of the bazillion that I did manage to shoot. With the sun shining so vehemently, I had to drop the ISO to 100 and underexposed it further to prevent the light from washing out the pictures.
